Because now the anticipation of the next book is going to drive me crazy. My only regret with this book is not waiting until the sequels were out already before reading the first. Lastly, I don't really understand or know what it is about the passion between Nevada and Connor that makes their relationship so enticing, but their relationship (or lack thereof) is addicting and I cannot wait to see how it unfolds. But this book had laugh-out-loud unforgettable humor. All of Ilona Andrews books have some humor. I didn't really see much humor present in the other books.

The way she is thrown into the scene at random and unexpected moments with her priceless comments adds so much humor to this book. This working, "low-class" girl trying to take care of her family just hits real close to home and makes the story much more genuine and personable. Not only are the main characters more lovable, but I can relate to them more. I literally listened to the entire book straight through in pretty much one "sitting". But this book had me so enthralled, I listened to it from the moment I woke up to start my day, in the car on the way to work, at work all day, in the car on the way home, and at home until I was finished.

Normally I listen to books in my car to and from work while stuck in traffic. This book was so good, I literally couldn't put it down (or in my case stop listening). Burn for Me Publishers Summary Number-one New York Times best-selling author Ilona Andrews launches a brand-new Hidden Legacy series, in which one woman must place her trust in a seductive, dangerous man who sets off an even more dangerous desire. But the first book of the Hidden Legacy series is by far my favorite. You easily fall in love with the characters and become consumed with their adventures. The worlds that are created are so unique and atypical of the usual magical world fashioned by other authors. I have really, really, really enjoyed all of Ilona Andrews books so far.
